BatteryBaeEnd-User Licence Agreement

This End-User Licence Agreement ("Agreement") is between you and Whali Technologies Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England & Wales (registered office: 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF), for the BatteryBae software application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Licence granted
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to install and use the App on Mac computers that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial enjoyment. This is a licence, not a sale; we retain all ownership of the App.
2. What you may not do
- Resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the App or your licence key.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source or the bundled audio for reuse.
- Use the App in any unlawful way, or to harass or harm others.
- Share, publish, or circumvent the licence-key system.
3. Nature of the App
BatteryBae is a novelty entertainment app. It plays light-hearted, suggestive ("flirty") spoken lines in response to your Mac's battery and charging state. The content is comedic innuendo and is intended for adult users (17+). It is not intended to offend; you can mute it, set quiet hours, or disable any trigger at any time.
4. Privacy & permissions
The App reads your battery, charging, idle, thermal and power-mode state locally on your Mac to decide when to react; this is not transmitted. It asks once to show notifications, and requires no microphone, camera, location, accessibility, or administrator access. It makes limited network requests to check for updates and (for Plus) to validate your licence — which sends a device identifier derived from your Mac's serial number. 5. Licence keys & payment
Whali Technologies Ltd is the seller and merchant of record; payments are processed on our behalf by Stripe and licence keys are issued by Amore. After purchase your licence key is emailed to you — paste it into the App's Settings → Unlock BatteryBae Plus to activate (check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes). A valid key unlocks the full App. We re-validate the key over the internet from time to time, with an offline grace period so it keeps working without a constant connection.
6. Updates
We may provide updates and additional voice packs. Updates are delivered through a signed update mechanism and are included with your licence at no extra cost unless stated otherwise.
7. Warranty disclaimer
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in this Agreement limits your non-excludable statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the App. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Termination
This licence ends automatically if you breach these terms. On termination you must stop using and delete the App.
10. Governing law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of England & Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England & Wales.

BatteryBae is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc. "Mac" and "macOS" are trademarks of Apple Inc.
